What are photopsies and myopsies?;

Article

There are cases where the vitreous undergoes alterations with age.

The most common is that the vitreous may detach from the retina, resulting in the patient seeing flies (myopes), floating threads or even flashes (photopigmentation).

This condition, which in most cases is not a cause for concern, is called posterior vitreous detachment.
