With posterior vitreous detachment, does the cloudy ‘cloud’ that one can see move or remain stationary?;

Article

Patients with symptomatic posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) will present with flies or a floating tissue that casts a shadow on the retina and can be seen as cobweb, petal or similar.

In most patients, this will move as the eye moves.

If this visual blurring does not move, it is less likely to be associated with posterior vitreous detachment and you should come to our office for further testing.
